Klinikum Mutterhaus der Borromäerinnen Mitte
The interdisciplinary Central Admissions is a department without patient beds, which is divided into two sections.
There is a 24-hour service for all patients with acute problems in the fields of internal medicine, surgery, and vascular surgery, who require urgent or unscheduled examinations and therapy.
After regular working hours, patients with acute gynecological and ENT disorders are also registered in the interdisciplinary Central Admissions and subsequently transferred to the respective departments. In addition, there is an adjacent shock treatment room, where the primary care of polytraumatized patients takes place.
In this section patients prescheduled for the departments of Internal Medicine 1, Internal Medicine 2, Surgery, and Vascular Surgery are admitted, examined, informed in writing about upcoming operations, and transferred for planned diagnostic procedures.
In separate planning offices of this section the required diagnostics for the respective disorders are scheduled in order to minimize unnecessary time in the hospital or delays in therapy. Parts of the diagnostic examinations are carried out on-site.
